Dear Jason Just a quick note to say thank you very much for a fantastic morning flying and fishing in the Tararuas. It was my job to arrange the pre morning activities for the groom, groomsmen and Father of the Groom. You pulled together an amazing morning full of fishing, walking (not too much) swimming and toped it off with Paua and Venison sandwiches. I wouldn’t hesitate to fly with you again and am happy to recommend your company to any prospective customers.

Hi guys, Just wanted to say a big thank you for the ride in to Arete on Friday, and for taking the car to the road end - keys in the boot and all! To be honest, I hadn't realised kiriwhakapapa was so far from where you guys are at, so really appreciated you literally "going the extra mile". Our time in the hills was a mixed bag. First half of the trip was excellent. We had great weather up at Arete, and managed to bag a wee 10-pointer behind Pukematewai on Saturday. Second half was not so good, as we took a "short cut" down to Arete Forks via Arete Stream. Turns out there are some big waterfalls in there! We spent the night on the side of the hill,then finally managed to sidle the falls the next day, which made for a big walk out. Needless to say, we'll be getting the chopper both ways next time! 6 years ago I worked with Jason and Sally.The experience served me well as now I'm an Air Transport Pilot flying 18 seat, Twin engined IFR helicopters to oilrigs in Australia I often credit Jason and Sallys professionalism, safety and service both in business and in person as the benchmark in helicopter operations. Very friendly and expert service. You can have total confidence in the pilots when flying in or out of the Tararua Ranges in difficult weather conditions.

We have flowen with JD on a couple of occasions now to go hunting and think JD is a great guy and great pilot, many thanks, we will be back.

The Team at AH make it easy to get equipment from lengths of perspex roofing to 45 kg gas bottles and staff safely and effectively into all areas of the remote Wairarapa where maintenance is carried out on huts , tracks and structures. This family based business would, in my opinion , be one of the top in NZ !

I have had a couple of trips with amalgamated, during the last couple of roars.I have always had a friendly greeting, and always felt looked after. Knowing that i'm in safe hands, i look forward to many more trips with amalgamated helicopters.

We booked a flight to hunt red stag with J.D. and his crew. We were very impressed with his operation, not only did he take us into spectacular country, his knowledge of the area and the red stags was phenomenal! He operated with safety foremost on his mind. I would recommend anyone coming from the U.S to hunt red stag to consider contacting J.D.

We have had so many wonderful comments from family & friends about how memorable our arrival was. The staff were helpful & friendly especially to some very nervous bridesmaids & an excited bride. the boys really enjoyed their scenic flight before hand and have been telling all their mates about it. My mates & I have been flying into the Tararuas, once a year, over the past 7 years with Amalgamated Helicopters. We are not hard-core bushmen, so we really appreciate the mobility and access that helicopters give. Each time we go is special for us because JD & his team make sure we get in & out safely and he puts us into great hunting & fishing spots. If you are after some full on adventure, then give these guys a call.

Just like to say a big thanks to all at Amalgamated Helicopters. I was the tramper in the article on the news page. By the afternoon once out of the bush I was pretty much unable to see, so very much appreciate their timely and very professional flying!

Having hired Amalgamated Helicopters for agricultural spraying i found them to be very professional. I've also used their services for recreation and have been most impressed with their enthusiasim, knowledge of the Tararua's and bush flying skills.
